Frequently asked questions

How does borrowing and returning toys work?

It is as easy as four simple steps: join with a free membership, browse and reserve items online, collect your toys to enjoy at home, and then return them when you are done to swap for something new.

How much does membership cost?

Joining CK toy library is completely free! We believe every child deserves access to inspiring play. You only pay affordable weekly hire charges for the specific toys you choose to borrow.

How long can we hire a toy for?

Our charges are based on flexible weekly hire periods. You can keep toys for as short as a single week or renew them if your child is having too much fun to let go.

How are the toys cleaned and sanitised?

Hygiene and safety are our top priorities. Every single item is thoroughly checked, sanitised, and cleaned immediately upon return, then stored securely until the next family borrows it.

Where can we collect and return toys?

We are available on a Monday morning at Christ Church on Emery Street. Otherwise we will arrange a day and time to suit both parties to collect at our storage point on Festival Heights.

What happens if a toy breaks or a piece goes missing?

Don't panic! We know that when children play and have fun, accidents happen and pieces can wander off. All we ask is that you let us know when returning the item so we can inspect or replace it.
